The Spanish word suggests "town," originated from the name pueblo, which the Spanish explorers called the residence - like homes they found in the early 17th century. It was an ancient Indian culture that focused on the Anasazi, a group of people in northern New Mexico including a couple of hundred to a hundred thousand individuals. The term is referred to by some as "Anasazis," although the term was not favoured by those who thought that the descendants of the cultural group were the indigenous individuals and not their descendants. It is not clear what the factor for the group is, but it is understood that the Anasazis and individuals share some of the same religious beliefs.

Chaco Canyon is found on the northern edge of New Mexico and is house to the remains of an emerging and vanished Anasazi civilization. The website, which houses the biggest archaeological site in the United States and the second largest in North America, was declared a nationwide monument in 1907. Considering that the monument was set up, some remote websites have been discovered, such as the Great Basin, the San Juan River Valley and some others. Less well known, but similarly fascinating, are the so-called Chaco runaways, that make the website among the most crucial archaeological sites in the United States.Etudes Archeologiques 89380787963.jpg A substantial system of prehistoric roadways links Chico Canyon to other sites, and scientists believe it is closely connected to a single cultural network stretching over 30,000 square miles from Colorado to Utah and linked by a network of ancient roadways. According to the National Park Service, there are locations stretching over 30,000 square miles and totaling more than 1. 5 million acres.
