Mesa Verde

Located in lovely southwest Colorado, Mesa Verde National Park is one of the largest national forests in the United States and the second largest in Colorado. The park secures more than 5,000 sites, consisting of the remains of individuals who lived long ago on the Colorado Plateau. Park rangers lead assisted trips to the ancestral houses of Pueblo, where you can hear stories and learn more about ancient cultures. The Pueblo Indians of Mesa Verde deserted the mesas and developed their houses in the niches that are plentiful on lots of walls of the canyon. This last duration is called the "Puebla Period," or the last three years of life on the Colorado Plateau, and is considered the pinnacle of the Puleo culture in MesaVerde. Check out the new visitor center to see the remains of 26 tribes that still have links to Mesa Verde, along with more than 1,000 archaeological sites. There are over 600 documented cliff residences, however the exact number of cliff residences in Mesa Verde is unknown. There are more than 1,000 known archaeological sites on the Colorado Plateau, a lot of which are cliff residents.

Chetro Ketl & & Pueblo Bonito: Chaco Culture National Historic Park

Pueblo Bonito (Spanish for "stunning city") is among the most well-known Chacoan homes in the Chaco Canyon region of Mexico, home to some of the most famous Chacos of the Chaco Canyon. D-shaped big home is so large that the area of Pueblo Bonito is slightly smaller than that of Chetro Ketl. Although the spaces dealing with the square are primarily one-storey, it increases to 4 floorings in the centre of the structure. Areas in a row are 2 or three storeys high, creating a roofing system balcony that extends from the plaza to the back rooms. The big home can be approximately four storeys high in some areas on the north side, and up to six storeys on the south side of Chetro Ketl.
