Chetro Ketl & & Pueblo Bonito: Chaco Culture National Historic Park

Pueblo Bonito (Spanish for "gorgeous city") is among the most well-known Chacoan houses in the Chaco Canyon area of Mexico, house to some of the most famous Chacos of the Chaco Canyon. D-shaped big home is so big that the location of Pueblo Bonito is somewhat smaller than that of Chetro Ketl. Although the spaces facing the square are mainly one-storey, it rises to four floors in the centre of the structure. Spaces in a row are two or three floors high, developing a roofing terrace that extends from the plaza to the back spaces. The big home can be approximately four storeys high in some areas on the north side, and as much as 6 storeys on the south side of Chetro Ketl.

Who Were The Anasazi?

To start with, there is proof that the Pueblo individuals are modern descendants of the Anasazi.Anasazi?  075497902.jpg The Navajo, who continuously feuded with the "Anasazis," descendants of both the Pueblos and the Hopi Indians, are called after them, the elders of southern Utah. They inhabited large parts of southern Utah along with parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona. The Navajo are called after the Anasazis, the Pueblos after the Hopi, however not after the Navajo, who are the descendants of the "Anasazi. " The dividing line is popular - in the history of the Navajo Country in addition to in lots of other parts of Arizona and New Mexico. While the Anasazi and Hopi were farmers, the Navajo and Apaches were hunters - collectors who raided farm towns. After Navajo was annihilated by an US federal government project in the 1860s, they turned their backs on the Apaches and relied on agriculture. The Hopis consider themselves the rightful descendants of the ancient Apaches, a position supported by archaeologists. He says, however, that there is no proof that Pueblo individuals live in the area today, and the way of living and his claims to the land have actually brought even more conflicts with the Hopi.
